EDUCATION

Education is very important to us at Bowthorpe Park Farm, when deciding to open the farm one of our main aims was to educate the public on Agriculture. Our events such as lambing and open farm Sunday are a fantastic way for you to come and see what happens on a real working farm and gives you the opportunity to ask question, learn and get hands on experience.

We also host farm visits for schools, our CEVAS accredited farmer George can provide a full lesson for a range of ages and curriculum stages covering everything from animals to nature and don’t forget the Bowthorpe Oak.

Tractors into schools is a fantastic initiative that takes place every March, we at Bowthorpe have been involved from the beginning. Tractors across the county roll into schools to teach students all about food and farming. If you would like your school to take part, please get in touch.

We have been honoured over the past year to be asked by Lincolnshire Agricultural society to judge their Schools Challenge at Lincolnshire Show and are this year excited to be involved as mentor to two local schools. It’s a great student led educational challenge set by Lincolnshire Agricultural Society to help the children learn about food, farming, the local community, the environment and sustainability.

Bowthorpe Park Farm is a great place for an educational visit or end of term treat, for more information please E-mail info@Bowthorpeparkfarm.co.uk
